The Glen Challenge (Saturday 24th August 2019)

Another day, another race. Today two of our members and their families did the Glen Challenge, that is a 16K run or 25K mountain bike ride, as part of the Glenurquhart Highland Games. Runners involved were Elaine Rowan, who ‘encouraged’ her hubby to do the 25K mountain bike race, and Sheila Wallace, whose son, Craig did the run.

This was a well organised wee event (24 runners) with lovely routes, starting from Corrimony and finishing with a lap of the games field in Drumnadrochit. Elaine and I both recommend it for another year.

We finished with a lap of the games field

I like the medal with Urquhart Castle and Nessie

Many thanks to Neil (again!) for the photos.
