Something new for our group!
We plan to celebrate midsummer by organising a middle of night/very early morning run on Sunday 26th June. Starting at 4am!
Place: Knockfarrel, Strathpeffer
Time: 04:00
Terrain: forest tracks and narrow paths
Refreshments: Bring tea or coffee and cake for after the run (and maybe during the run, if we choose to gather on the Cat’s Back to watch the sun).
Distance: we hope to have several groups running different paces and distances
Park in the Blackmuir Wood Forestry car park (OS Grid reference NH479574 or using Sat Nav? – IV14 9BT is the nearest postcode.)
ached by turning off the south side of the A834 at the Contin end of Strathpeffer village. Turn off *immediately* after the large white building, if coming from Contin direction.
The route is on forest tracks and narrow paths where you may be brushing past vegetation so remember insect repellent. It may be wet and muddy if we get rain, so trail shoes would be useful if you have them.
